Complete copper alloy late Iron Age or Roman toggle, c. 100 BC - 100 AD.  The toggle is a dumbell type consisting of two globular hemispherical terminals connected with a waisted central shaft with circular cross section. The artefact has a powdery green patina and surface pitting.  This is a well attested finds type on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database. A complete Late Iron Age or Early Roman cast copper-alloy dumb bell toggle dating to the period 100 BC-AD 200. The toggle comprises two small hemispheres with ridged collars on the inner edge separated by a concavely narrowed waist or reel moulding between them. The surfaces have mottled light green and dark green patination. The toggle measures 14.36mm long, 9.56mm diameter and weighs 4.85 grams.
