A complete Iron Age copper alloy brooch of the La Tene I type dating to the 4th - 3rd century B.C. ' Wessex' Type, Hull's Type 1A. The brooch has a strongly arched faceted bow with a diamond-shaped cross section.. The top of the arch extends to form the tightly coiled spring with an axis bar and arched mock-spring. An incomplete Middle Iron Age copper alloy brooch of La Tène I and of Hull & Hawkes (1987: 95-106) type 1Ba, dating to the 4th or 3rd century BC. An incomplete cast copper alloy Iron Age bow brooch of La Tene I type, 39.5mm in length and dating to the 4th - 3rd century B.C. The integrally cast spring and pin is missing, as is the projecting terminal at the foot. The bow is flat, lenticular in shape with a slightly plano convex cross section 1.8mm thick and decorated with a pair of grooves along the spine. These grooves taper to each end of the bow where there are sharply angled junctions with the head and foot; the latter has a stump of a catchplate running along the underside.
