A complete Iron Age or Roman copper-alloy button and loop fastener, dumb-bell shaped in form (c. 200 BC-c. AD 100). The head or toggle is a circular sectioned transverse bar which bears two deep, circumferential grooves between the terminals. The expanded terminals each have a flat end and their inner edges have circumferential incised grooves. The projecting loop is 90° to the plane of the head and has a central groove extending from the heart-shaped opening to the rear of the head. An incomplete and corroded copper-alloy one-piece brooch of Nauheim derivative La Tene III type of the Late Iron Age or Early Roman period (c. AD 10-c. AD 100). The pin, bar, the catch-plate and most of the spring are missing. The brooch has a head forming part of the bilateral spring. The flat bow/body is irregular in plan and tapers to a break at the bottom. The front of the bow appears to be plain. This brooch is green and pitted with flecks of a dark green patina. A complete late Iron Age (possibly) harness fitting in the form of a miniature cheek piece. The object is symmetrical and curvilinear. At the centre a projecting integral loop is bevelled on both sides. The arms are circular in cross-section and their ends are slightly convex.
