The coin has been pierced twice from reverse through to obverse, the piercings being positioned on either side of the neck of the bust.

Any detail on the coin has been worn off or deliberately removed, meaning it is hard to identify with any degree of certainty. It is likely, based on its size, to be either a groat from the reign of Elizabeth I or Charles I, or a Sixpence from the reign of Charles II. It's weight (1.2g) is similar to some Elizabethan Groats on the database, for example LEIC-EA8BF8 (0.9g) or DENO-7CBAB1 (1g).
