Late 3rd Century Roman copper alloy radiate coin of Carausius (AD 286-293) (Reece Period 14) PAX AVG, Pax standing left with branch and vertical sceptre. C Mint, -//C. RIC V, pt 2, p. 490, cf. 303. This coin has been included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.
Obverse is a bust of the emperor facing right with radiate crown and legend, it has been struck off centre possibly due to the poor shape of the coin which is oval. Reverse depicts Pax standing left with a straight sceptre and legend, again struck off centre with half the image lost during the strike.
