The coin rim is spilt in two places, with a marks on the obverse suggesting it may have been folded in half.
Obverse: crowned head facing left with a sceptre and the legend: IOhAN[NES] DEI GRA.
Reverse: long cross, dividing the legend, with a five-pointed voided mullet in each quarter. The legend reads REX SCOTORVM+.
