A complete silver half siliqua from the House of Constantine, anonymous issue dating to c. AD 330. Reece Period 17. Probably mint of Constantinople. Reverse type, large P. The coin is in very good condition with very little wear, however there is a slight crack visible. This appears to be the first coin of its type found in Britain. Ref: S. Bendall, 'Anonymous silver coinage of the 4th to 6th centuries AD', Revue Numismatique 158 (2002), p. 140, Type 2.
