Complete late Medieval copper alloy purse hanger frame with niello inlay decoration. From the base of a narrow rectangular strap loop a semi-oval loop projects down and forwards curving back on itself towards the base of the strap loop from which it sprung. Just short of the return to the strap loop it bifurcates into two arms. One arm juts downwards in a short tapering projection to restrict the upper part of the semi-oval loop. Post-medieval copper alloy strap slide with two integral flat-sectioned attachment spikes on the reverse near the ends. Incomplete medieval copper alloy folding strap clasp. A composite trapezoidal frame consists of an inside edge and sides formed from one piece of sheet and a separate but fixed roller, and the attached sheet folding end is engraved with two saltires alternating with three longitudinal lines and five short lines or dashes along the fold.
