A corroded and incomplete post medieval cast copper alloy strap mount with a narrow heart-shaped plate. The pointed terminal is missing, but on the basis of complete examples (i.e. SUR-CBD7A2) likely comprised a small pointed acorn shaped knop. The reverse is flat with two integrally cast attachment rivets.

A fragment copper alloy Acorn Mount of Post-Medieval date (AD 1600-1700). The object is styled in an acorn pattern. The object is composed of the rounded bottom half and is decorated with a cross-hatched pattern that form the cup of the acorn, the upper end lower ends both terminate in old, abraded breaks. The reverse retains one, recurved, circular sectioned lug. Length: 19.13mm, Width: 19.45mm, Thickness: 1.17mm, Weight: 2.0g. The metal is dark green in colour with a slightly pitted patina. A Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy leather decorative mount, probably dating to c.1500-1700. An asymmetrical flat plate with a trefoil head and protruding sides, tapering down to a bifurcated base, with moulded foliate decoration on the face. The reverse has two rectangular cross-section fixing spikes, 'bent over', positioned at either end of the plate, which is otherwise flat. The surface displays a patchy dark green patina. Length 27.6mm, width 18.3mm, thickness 2.3mm, weight 6.8g. Similar examples on this database at: DENO-4D05D5, LIN-E83AB8 and SUR-FA24EE.

The mount presents a raised face in the centre which consists of almond shaped eyes, a pinched nose and small mouth. Short tendrils of hair drape the forehead. A post medieval cast copper alloy decorative strap mount of later 17th century date to early 18th century and of baroque style (Maslin, 2021). The plate is triangular, with ridged margins and moulded decoration comprising a stem with projecting floral and vinescroll elements, tapering to a small knop a the lower tip. The upper edge is wider with pointed corners and has a moulded cherub head emerging from the centre. The surface has a black lacquer coating. Post Medieval-Modern cast copper alloy mount, c.AD 1700-1900. This is a decorative mount, possibly for a furniture fitting, that was sub-circular in plan and triangular in section. The mount is cast into the shape of a rayed or petalled motif, with a single attachment hole running through the mount from the obverse to the reverse face. The reverse is flat, with the face sloping into the hole, and bears no decorative motifs or makers' marks.
