A rim sherd from a Roman mortaria. It has a pale pink/yellow fabric with gritty inclusions visible on all surfaces, the surfaces themselves have a relatively smooth finish. The inner surface has larger irregular black,. white and red flint and gritty inclusions that create a rough grinding surface. At the top of the rim is a shallow central groove, while a double transverse groove is visible on the exterior surface of the rim.
