A small plano-convex disc, thickest on one side, featureless and worn on its convex side but retaining part of an image on the flat side, which looks like a small seated figure with right hand raised. Andrew Brown kindly comments that the object should probably be regarded as a late Iron Age quarter stater, issue of Haselgrove Period 2 phase 4 or later, 80BC-20BC. Complete gold engraved finger ring dating for the late 16th century. The exterior is engraved with a pattern of alternating four- and five-petalled pansy-like flowers and leafy sprigs, the interior is plain. There is no evidence of a maker’s mark. A complete gold finger ring (signet) of post-medieval date (c.1550-1625). Description: The hoop of the ring is D-shped in cross-section and widens at the shoulders to meet a flat, oval bezel. Gold finger ring with emerald setting. The hoop is broken and bent in on itself towards the bezel. The hoop is thin, and splits at both sides of the bezel into outward-facing spiral shoulders which are partly attached to the sides of the bezel. Late Bronze Age gold pendant: one end of a slightly bent round-sectioned shank has been hammered into a D-sectioned loop, while the other expands into a conical terminal on which another object may have swivelled. Formerly described as probably Roman, it has been reassigned, by Caroline Barton and Ben Roberts of the British Museum, to the Late Bronze Age on the basis of its similarity to a copper alloy example in the Boughton Malherbe (Kent) hoard (PAS KENT-15A293).
