An incomplete Late Medieval to Early Post-Medieval copper alloy candle holder, c.AD 1450-1550. The surviving part consists of one socket-like candle holder and part of the arm that it slotted into. The base, stem, spike or pricket, most of the candlestick's arm are missing. The socket has a waisted collar at the base. The socket is a cylinder with straight side, possibly decorated with stamped floral designs, although wear and corrosion make these difficult to discern. Medieval finger ring, of stirrup shape. The hoop is slightly distorted and abraded along its edges. The ring is set with a roughly rectangular stone, which is held in place by two claws. A medieval finger ring of iconographic type.  The bezel is hexagonal and contains a depiction of God the Father holding the figure of Christ on the Cross.  This was the conventional way to portray the Trinity in the late medieval period, though the dove representing the Holy Spirit seems to be absent. Description and identification The reported object is a cast gold finger ring with stone setting. It has an octagonal hollow bezel tapering upwards to form an oval aperture for the stone. Inside the bezel are the remains of a dark red cabochon stone, now sunken.  The band is flat, plain and slightly D-shaped in cross section.
