Description: Gold and gem finger-ring, the gemstone held in place by four claws. The circular-section hoop is slender, generally 1.4mm in diameter. It flares upwards and flattens in thickness to a tall stirrup-shaped bezel which is just 0.9mm thick. This has a rounded cut-out at the top which wraps around the gemstone at little to form a pair of claws. At right angles to these are two more claws which are apparently integrally cast with the rest of the hoop. Description: Gold posy ring. The hoop is of even width and D-shaped cross-section throughout, although with some wear. The curved exterior is undecorated, and worn to a matt finish. The flat interior is more glossy, and has the inscription in neat seriffed capitals BE. FAYTHFVL. TO. THY. FREND. The two final letters are ligated.

A gold and enamel memento mori (mourning) finger ring dating to AD 1702.
The ring is a simple D-section hoop of even width throughout. It has a plain band apart from the image of a skull denoted by two eyes, nose and mouth with a circumferential line. The mouth is denoted by a series of raised dots representing teeth. The majority of black enamel remains intact apart from a small amount on the right hand side of the face which is missing.

The ring is formed of a gold band that expands slightly at the shoulders and are decorated with a long thin V-shaped cell which may have contained enamel. Complete subannular finger-ring with hollow cast lobed bezel reset with pear-shaped facetted blue stone, in a cut related to the rose cut. The stone is extensively scratched and nibbled around the girdle, it appears to be cracked. It does not match the bezel setting which is also very rubbed. The original bezel is likely to have been four lobed, and there is a secondary border of eight crescent shaped indentations. It is unclear what would have been set within this bezel in its first iteration. The stone has not been tested, but is likely to be a sapphire.

A complete plain gold finger ring dating to the late Post Medieval to Modern period (c. AD 1719-2000).
The ring is a very thin, undecorated band, with a D-shaped cross-section. There is a hallmark on the inside of the band is very worn and difficult to decipher. It was probably in a rectangular cartouche and the second letter is W. The first letter is unclear.
It has an external diameter of 18.8 mm, an internal diameter of 16.2 mm. The hoop has a diameter of 1.3 mm. It weighs 1.6 g.

An incomplete gem-set enamelled gold finger ring of Post Medieval date, about AD 1550 to AD 1700. The hoop is distorted, the bezel is torn, and the gem is missing.
The box bezel is made of sheet gold and is 3.1mm high and measures 8mm long by 5mm wide. The missing gem would have been held in place by the inturned edge of the bezel. A Roman gold finger ring with intalgio, dating to c.AD 150 - 250. The ring is of Henig type V. The ring is oval in plan and D-shaped in section. The bezel is wider than the hoop with sloping shoulders. The bezel is 12.1 mm wide, at its narrowest (to the rear) the band is 3.9 mm. The band of the ring is undecorated, though small hammer marks are visible towards the narrow hoop of the ring. The bezel has retained a blue oval shaped intalgio, made from nicolo (onyx). Description: A warped but otherwise complete case gold medieval stirrup shaped finger-ring with green stone setting intact.
The finger ring that has a narrow and thin D-shaped cross-section hoop that is now oval in plan due to it being squashed along the lateral axis. It would have originally been circular. The hoop expands in thickness towards it top edge to form a tall pointed bezel (2.6mm wide and 30mm tall) with gentle sloping shoulders. An inscription on the inside of the band reads: “Let this present my good intent.” There is also a maker's mark of a B at the end of the inscription.The outside edge of the ring has a few light scratches through wear.
