A complete probably Bronze Age unidentified object dating to circa 2300-800 BC. Made from a strip of gold, It is broadly triangular in plan flaring outwards from the apex to the terminal. Both the top and bottom edges are straight. There is a circa 1mm in diameter perforation just below the apex. Length: 16.1mm; Width: 7.2mm; Thickness: 0.2mm; Weight: 0.26g. Discussion: Similar strips of gold with perforations are known from southern England associated with the Bronze Age. A gold unidentified object possibly of the Bronze Age period, dating to 1500 BC- 800 BC. It consists of a rectangular strip of metal, which has been wrapped on itself in order to take the shape of a cylinder. The outer face of the cylinder is decorated with seven parallel grooves running lengthwise. The bead is dented and is blocked by hard soil, which has not been intentionally removed. a gold rod or off-cut fragment of unknown date. It is approximately rectangular with a slight curve, partly circular in section, but flattened with facets. There is a transverse cut mark across one facet. Both short terminals are truncated and pinched as though clipped.

Ref.: 2004 T273 (Rec. no. 4152) The find consists of an irregular fragment of gold backing sheet decorated with filigree wire; length, 22 mm; weight, 1.0 gram. At the broad end is a five-pointed star with one arm displaced; in the centre are two concentric rings and at the other end a similar, distorted motif. Filigree wires run along the long sides and the edges are damaged. Fused to the back are irregular lengths of filigree and a triangular cluster of granulation. The fragment is in the form of a rectangular bar, broken at one end and hammered flat at the other; length, 16 mm; width, 9 mm; thickness, 5 mm. It is decorated with alternating yellow and pale gold overlays with double rows of irregular lozenges of black niello on the top and sides. The underneath is undecorated. Unidentified gold object. It consists of an apparently solid truncated cone with concave sides (a bell shape), and a narrow tube set transversely on the top. The tube appears to be hollow (although now filled with soil) and is 10.5 mm long; it is basically 2 mm in diameter, but has a collar of beaded wire around either end and a line of similar beaded wire along the top. The wire is 0.8 mm wide; the beads are regular and rounded, and the bead-count per 2.5 mm is 7.
