A gold hammered probable Western European imitation of a gold Venetian ducat dating to the later Medieval period, probably c. 1400-1550. The prototype could not be accurately ascertained, though the crude non-sensical legends that in places are retrograte would infer that this is an imitation rather than an official issue. The coin is folded over in what appears to be post-depositional damage, one corner also being partly torn.
