A complete copper-alloy post-medieval knife handle terminal. The terminal is shaped like an horse's hoof and has iron corrosion. It curves downwards slightly at an angle and has a flat outer end. The inner surface is covered with iron corrosion where it would have joined the iron tang of a knife originally. A number of similar example have now been recorded with the PAS: e.g. SF-6B23D0, NLM-61F60B, SUR-1DCA47, IOW-E044C2, SOM-A63564 and LVPL-2ABAE1. A cast copper-alloy knife end cap of Post-Medieval date. It is rectangular in profile and oval shaped in section with moulded vertical ridges down each side. Both faces have incised decoration comprising a rectangular border containing a cross saltire, the edges suffering from corrosive copper-alloy and iron products.
