A post medieval silver 4 sols (2 deniers) of Louis XIV of France (1643-1715), dating to AD 1707, mint uncertain owing to wear on coin.
The coin is very worn, with much of the design and inscription missing or faint. It has two gentle folds to form a shallow S-shape suggesting it was bent into a love token.
Diameter: 19.8mm; thickness: 0.43mm and weight: 1.13g.
