Copper alloy korte (or courte) of Philip II, King of Spain (1556-1598), from the Spanish Netherlands, dating from 1555 to 1581, when the Dutch Republic was established, general type Van Gelder & Hoc 229. Most likely minted at Brabant, Antwerp, which appears to be the only variety that can have the ANG reading (as opposed to AN, which also is on one of the Flanders issues); if so, the reference is Van Gelder & Hoc, 1960, no.229-1.
