An incomplete copper alloy composite buckle of medieval date (c. 1350-1400AD). The buckle consists of a near-complete cast oval lipped frame with integral forked spacer and sheet top plate. The pin, backplate and any rivets are absent. The frame is oval, with chamfered edges and a grooved lip. The frame has an aperture width of 25.3mm and a width of 32.5mm.
