A Roman case copper-alloy mount, harness fitting or vessel attachment. It consists of an arched rectangular shaped and sectiond bar broken at each end. On the inside edge of the surface are two concentric grooves. Extending from the mid point of the same edge is an integral pelat-shaped plate that is D-shaped in cross-section and has a hollow interiror. The patina across the object is dark grey in colour.
The object measures 33.3mm long, 24.9mm wide, 3.6mm thick and weighs 5.12 grams.

A copper alloy 'propeller shaped' belt mount dating to the late Roman to early early medieval period (c.AD 350-450).
The mount consists of a central circular element (diameter 12.8mm) flanked on either side by an isosceles triangle, its apex truncated by the circle. A broadly circular mount with decoration and enamel inlay on the front face.The design consists of a central square that is slightly recessed with a coloured border. The circumference of the mount has the same width and coloured border. Each corner of the square has a small linear rib joining the square to the outer border. Copper alloy mount. Cast markedly concavo-convex hollow mask in the form of a maned lion’s head. The nose and jowls are naturalistically rendered, the eyes are represented by protruding oval panels and an oval aperture – whether arising from mis-casting, damage or design – is an open oval hole. A near complete cast copper-alloy mount of Roman date (c.43-410).
Description: The object is in the form of a small bird with moulded wings, tail, feet and head. The eyes of the bird are deep recessed holes and would have been inlaid. The wings and tails have incised lines to depict feathers, as do the feet to represent its claws. An almost complete copper-alloy anthopomorphic mount of probable Roman date, c.AD 43-410.
The mount is in the form of a human figure, standing with legs apart and arms spread out to either side. The figure has a disproportionately large head with crudely detailed facial features; the eyes and mouth are deep incised circular pits and the nose a raised sub-triangular bump. The hair is marked by a transverse groove with faint vertical striations.

Description: The mount is circular in plan and flat in profile, although slighter thicker at the cente. The front has moulded cells consiting of alternating crosses and triangles around a central perforationThese would have been inlaid with enamel but none of this remains. At the outer edge is a double-grooved border. The reverse of the mount has two stubs near to the edges, opposite each other. The mount has a medium green patina.

An incomplete copper-alloy coffee bean mount of Roman date, c.AD 150 - 300.
The mount comprises an ovate plate, the edges of which are broken and worn, with a raised, central oval boss, decorated with a deep median groove.
The reverse of the mount is concave behind the boss. Two incomplete circular-sectioned lugs are present to either end of the reverse of the plate.
The metal has a mid-green delaminated patina and is worn. The object is 18.2mm long, 12.7mm wide, 7.1mm thick and weighs 3.5g.

Copper-alloy object the shape of a human head with an integral rivet or attachment stud on the reverse, probably a Roman military belt fitting. It is heavily abraded and has lost most of its original surface. The head is oval when viewed face-on, tapering slightly asymmetrically in the lower half; the upper jawline from the ear to the chin is straight on one side and convex on the other. It is in the form of a narrow, pointed oval, convex at the front and concave on the reverse. On the surface there are four circular punctures that go through the metal and are visible on the reverse. The object has a mid green patina.
The fitting measures 26.82mm in length, 19.24mm in width, 1.67mm in thickness and weighs 3.69g.
