Cast copper alloy Roman finger ring with a hoop that is D-shaped in section and in profile, with a flat sub-rectangular bezel. The bezel is decorated with a raised figure of Mars, helmeted, with a spear in his right hand and resting on a shield to the right with his left hand, all within a raised oval border. The ring shows considerable corrosion with and overall brown-green patina and some loss of detail on the shoulder obscuring the figures head. The bezel is 12mm long and 6.6mm wide and 1.3 mm thick. A complete forged copper alloy spiral finger ring of probable Iron Age to Roman date (c. 200BC-AD 410). The ring is of Guiraud Type 7 (Guiraud 1989, 195-6).
The ring is made from a forged bar of copper alloy 4.3- 4.8mm diameter wrapped around to form a ring, completing two full turns. The section of the bar is circular. The internal diameter of the ring is variable with a maximum of 22.1mm. The inner surface has a central seam stretching its length and visible in the terminal sections as a result of the forging process.

A fragment from a cast copper alloy Roman finger ring. About one quarter of the ring survives including part of a D-section band with a convex outer surface and flat reverse. This expands from the shoulder to an incomplete bezel that would have been oval shaped. At its centre are the remains of a recessed incomplete oval cell which is empty of the intaglio that it might have held.
The finger ring is a medium green colour colour.
The finger ring is 12.4mm long, 12.2mm wide, 2.5mm thick and weighs 1.53 grams.

A fragment from a cast copper alloy Roman finger ring dating to c. AD 100-300. Most of the hoop is missing but the entire bezel survives.
The hoop would have been oval in plan and the surviving fragment is also oval in cross section. It expands across the shoulders to the bezel which is flatter in cross section and also an oval shape in plan. The bezel is decorated with two circular cells alongside each other. Between them there ins one vertical incised line and one further crescent line. Their is an incised border running around the bezel just inside its edge.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy finger ring, dating to c.AD 250 - 410. The finger ring is of Henig Type XV. The ring is formed of a rectangular bezel, in the centre is an oval recession which has retained some paste, a stone or glass setting is now missing. The Shoulders are rectangular in section, they narrow to a circular sectioned hoop which is incomplete, the hoop terminates in an old worn break.

An incomplete copper-alloy finger ring of Roman date, c.AD 43 - 300. Guiraud type 2a. Henig type III.
The bezel of the finger ring is ovate with a recessed upper surface which is now empty. To either side of the bezel the ovate sectioned shoulders narrow into a circular sectioned hoop. Both arms terminate in worn breaks.
The metal has a dark grey/green patina and is worn. The finger ring is 21.6mm long, 10.9mm wide, 2.7mm thick and weighs 3.9g.

The bezel of the finger ring is ovate with a recessed upper surface which is now empty. A raised lip is present around the bezel. To either side of the bezel the shoulders narrow width and taper in thickness before both terminate in worn breaks.
The metal has a mid-grey/green patina and is worn. The finger ring is 19.95mm long, 12.97mm wide, 2.82mm thick and weighs 3.41g.

A copper alloy intact Roman ring. The band has been slightly squashed and is now quite thin in places. It starts off with a circular section at the shoulders but then flattens from above and below.

An incomplete copper alloy finger ring of Roman date (AD 43-410). The ring has a central oval bezel, the recess of which which measures 10.6mm x 8.1mm. This is the widest part of the ring. The ring then tapers and narrows on either side of the bezel (shoulders) to a uniform width of 2.4mm to form the start of the band on each side. The tapering of the shoulders is even and symmetrical. An incomplete copper alloy Roman finger ring or earring, (AD 43-410). It is C-shaped, and snapped at both ends. It is formed by twisting two thin copper wires into a cable. It is a maximum of 2mm thick at the centre and has a curved length of 33.5mm. The metal is an even pale green colour and rather worn and smooth to the touch. Possibly made from a 4th century twisted bracelet.

Within the bezel is an oval recess with four visible indentations, one central and three surrounding at 10 o'clock, 12 o'clock and 2 o'clock. A fragment of a copper alloy bracelet, probably of late Roman date, which has been curled around for later re-use as a finger ring. Unusually for such an object, the decorated side, which appears to have two offset parallel rows of ring and dot motifs running along its length, is on the inside of the hoop. The internal diameter of the ring would have been approximately 17mm.

An incomplete copper alloy finger ring of probable Roman date, with an oval setting (7mm long) in the bezel for a now missing gem or intaglio. The hoop had an internal diameter of c.17.5mm with a plano-convex cross section. The bezel is in the line of the hoop, with tapering shoulders which merge seamlessly with the hoop and are undecorated.
The form is broadly compatible with Guiraud Type 2a and most likely dates to the 1st - early 3rd century AD.

The shoulders are triangular in shape and oval in cross-section at the breaks. The rest of the hoop is missing.
