Roman copper alloy probable vessel mount in the form of a bird. It measures 22.1x4.8xmax.5mm (not including attachment projection) and weighs 1.77g.
The bird is D-shaped in section, and flat and even on the underside, except for the pointed beak that extends downwards (c.2mm long) and the projection at the centre, which is c.1mm diameter in section and 2.3mm long, and extends from a rectangular area 4.8x2.8x2.3mm.

Fragment of Roman copper alloy necklet (or large armlet). It consists of the hook end (the tip of the hook is broken), which is rectangular in section, and expands into a roughly square-section twisted body. Both breaks are old.
The necklet measures 121.9mm and weighs 33.54g. The hook end measures 4x2.7mm, expanding to 4.7x3.8mm at the start of the body, and expanding again (over 34.7mm) to 7x5.6mm at the start of the twist. There is some iron staining at this point.
The original diameter would have been c.140mm (internal c.120mm). The metal is quite pitted.

Incomplete copper alloy and enamel Roman plate brooch of the equal-ended type with a hinged mechanism, missing its pin shank and most of the enamel. It measures 34mm in length and is max.11.2mm wide. It weighs 2.15g. Both hinge mechanism and catchplate are slightly bent to one side, possibly as a result of being trodden on in ancient times.
At the centre of the bow is a 11.2x12.6mm square, a double rib around a central sunken area 7.6x7.6mm. This has a small amount of white enamel remaining.

Complete copper alloy and enamel Roman zoomorphic brooch in the form of a duck. It is 31.7mm in length (from beak to tail) and max.12.3mm wide (at its breast). It weighs 4.21g.
The body itself is rather flat and does not stand very high, max.2.6mm. It is occupied by four fields of enamel, representing the wings and back (to the tail). The outer two fields (wings) are filled with a blue enamel, the inner two (back/ tail) a white enamel. These fields are an elongated tear-drop shape, one pair being inverted compared to the other.

Roman copper alloy pelta-shaped mount with residue of solder on the reverse. It is D-shaped in section (being flat on the underside) and measures 31.2x22.7x2.6mm and weighs 6.71g.
The central 'arm' is bifurcated. The outer arms are apparantly rounded, one more so than the other which is rather more pointed.
All original patina has been lost and the metal is a greeny/ grey colour.
Pelta shaped mounts are associated with the military and can be given a 4th century date.

Fragment of Roman copper alloy bow brooch, consisting of the lower bow and incomplete catchplate only. The brooch is very worn and most of the original patina is missing.
The fragment measures 44.9mm in length and is very straight in profile. It is 5.4mm wide at the break and 5.4mm wide at the foot. The breaks are old.
The bow is roughly triangular in section, being flat to the reverse. To the front is a mid-rib, from which either side falls away. There appears to be rocker-arm decoration on either side although the surface is very worn. At either long edge is another rib.

Probably Roman circular bronze stud with a domed head, incised with concentric circles. It is 18mm in diameter, stands 7mm high, is 3mm thick, and weighs 5.1 grams. There are two projections on the underside which are on the circumference and rectangular in section, 1mm by 2mm. These are unusual in that they are similar to post medieval mount projections.

Roman pelta shaped copper alloy mount or stud, the surface of which has been stripped. It is probably 2nd or 3rd century, and possibly military. It is 24mm wide, 24mm in height, 6mm deep, and the metal is 3mm thick. There are two shanks on the reverse (which is hollow), at the top and bottom, these are 4mm diameter with a 6mm diameter foot at the base, and each is c.6mm long. The stud weighs 8.5 grams.

Roman copper alloy dragonesque plate brooch, measuring 42.4x22.6x1.9mm and weighing 7.18g. It is of the unenamelled type.
The brooch is apparantly complete though a little worn on its terminals (head and foot). It is in the form of an S-shaped plate with the head and foot forming the top and bottom of the S. The decoration is at the cente of the body and comprises a grooved-ring-and-pierced-dot.
The brooch is slightly rounded on both sides except for the reverse of the central part of the body, which is hollowed. This also has a little iron staining.

Incomplete copper alloy Roman T-shape brooch of the enamelled type, missing loop, lower bow and catchplate, the stem of the pin and the enamel decoration. It weighs 5.29g and is 28.9mm in incomplete length.
The wings are tubular with a hinged pin and span 26.2mm. Only the head of the pin survives in situ. A double groove flanks each open end of the wings, to the front only.

The head is oval with a flat plate behind the trumpet head which extends up to form a chain loop directly above a laterally grooved rectangular section. Midway on the upper bow is a pair of chevron lentiod mouldings. This brooch is similar to Hattatt (1989) 954.

Incomplete Roman copper alloy spoon of Crummy's type 2, with a pear-shaped bowl. The lower part of the bowl is missing. The handle appears to be intentionally stunted.
The incomplete spoon is 46.8mm in length and the spoon bowl is 22.6mm wide at its maximum width. The bowl is 0.9mm thick.
The handle is offset and 10.7mm long (excludin offset). Including the offset part, it is 16.2mm long.
The patina is partly present, and brown in colour. It is most obviously missing at the end of the handle, and although this might suggest a break from a longer handle, the end is smooth.

The rim is decorated with two deep wide grooves on the body. It measures 48.5x55.5x9.9mm. The original diameter of the rim would have been c.180mm. The fabirc is grey in colour.

Incomplete Roman copper alloy brooch of 1st century AD probably of the Colchester type. The brooch consists of the bow which tapers to a point and the catchplate. The brooch has a shiny green patina.
The length of the bow is decorated with wavy lines in sunk relief cf. Hattatt (1989) 253,254,255. The edges of the bow are rounded with the back of the bow remaining undecorated. The bow is a thin oval in cross section with the catchplate being almost rectangular in shape.
The brooch is 31mm in length and weighs 1.5g.

Incomplete Roman copper alloy brooch possibly of the T-shape type dating from 1st-2nd century AD. The brooch only has the right hand wing which is enclosed, and is very regular and cylindrical in shape. The brooch is broken at what appears to be a central point along the wingspan.
The tubular wings would have held the pin and spring mechanism. At the end of the right hand wing there is an incised longitudinal line.
The top of the bow is present with a a lateral line incised towards the right hand side.
The brooch measures 16mm in width and 15mm in length. It weighs 3.3g.
