This example is a contemporary copy of those that were minted at the Iberian Peninsula I, Workshop B, auxiliary mint.

The coin has been pierced with a worn, circular piercing near the rim at 5 o'clock on the obverse and 12 o'clock on the reverse. Many copies of Claudian period asses were struck in Britain in the decades following the invasion of AD 43.
