A cast lead object of unidentified function and date.
The object is sub-cylindrical with expanded, collared terminals and a sub-circular perforation running its length.
The object is immensively heavy and bulky, and looks like it functioned as a collar or socket, perhaps for some transport or architectural purpose. It is likely to be more than 200 years old.

A worn piece of lead in the shape of a life-sized human finger. The object is three-dimensional and models the characteristics of a finger, such as the bend at the knuckle, the tapering to the finger tip, and even having a flattened sub-oval 'finger-nail'.
This object could of course just be a piece of waste lead coincidently shaped as a finger, however representations of body parts are known from the Roman world. These parts were often placed on shrines as a symbolic gesture for that particular part of the body to healed. Another Roman finger cast in bronze was discovered at Branst…

A perforated lead disc, possibly of Roman date. The disc is 28.07mm in diameter and sub-circular in plan. A central perforation is 5.53mm in diamter. One face has a smaller perforation set to one side of the central perforation, and a small indentation opposite it on the other side of the central perforation. Another circular indentation can be found on the other face. These perforations and indentations may relate to the function of the disc, perhaps as a washer of some sort. This object was found by divers in the River Tyne downstream of the Roman bridge at Corbridge.

A lead object of uncertain date and function. The piece is triangular in shape with rounded corners. It measures 68.3mm high by 90.9mm wide and 17mm thick. It is fairly roughly cast, particularly on its underside. The upper (?) surface has a roughly inscribed design of a rectangle with an internal lozenge. On each of the three corners there is a single incision, suggesting that the object may have been attached to a chord. The weight is 949.2g.

A small flat plaque, cast in lead. The plaque is roughly rectangular with one rounded end and a broken end. One face is decorated with a crimped or rope-work border around the edge, and two parallel lines of the same running together down the middle; these two lines branch off into three curls on each side, the curls being made up of pellets in the same way as the borders. The surface is light grey. This may be a moulding from a coffin; it may be either Roman or post-Medieval in date.

Unidentified lead object. The object is cylindrical, and consists of a single rectangular sheet of lead, circa 4mm thick, rolled up to form a solid cylinder. One end of the roll has a series of regular linear grooves running across each sheet, indicating that it was carried out after the object was rolled up. The outer surface of the object has at least five flattened panels, presumably the result of pressing the roll tight during the rolling process. The lines could be some kind of knife mark, being the result of chopping the lead roll into smaller pieces. Alternatively the object…

Incomplete lead object. The object has two original straight edges which are concave in profile, and may have extended further than they do now, thus lending itself to being a large pot mend or plaque. Both faces are very worn and the upper surface appears to have been decorated with a beaded border, however nothing else is distinguishable.

Lead unidentified object. The object is circular and flat apart from a slightly down-turned rim, with a hole in the centre of the object measuring 11mm in diameter. There are two smaller irregular holes in the body of the disc, however these appear to be damage rather than purposly drilled. The face of the disc has a slightly raised rim, measuring circa 8mm in width. The surface of the disc is very worn.

Incomplete unidentified object. The object is a roughly triangular flat sheet of lead, possibly a waste piece, with some incised decoration on the face. The decoration looks almost like a crude attempt at representing a human mouth. There is an incised line around the perimeter, with two further lines lengthways near the top and the bottom. In the centre of the 'mouth' are five vertically incised lines, possibly representing the teeth? The edges of the object have all been cut with a knife. The surface of the reverse is irregular and pitted.

Incomplete lead object. The object consists of two circular sectioned lengths of lead hooked over each other like a chain. Both terminals of the 'links' are broken. It is not clear what purpose this object had, since its material would render it too weak to be used as a chain.
