Roman silver omega brooch. 36mm long, 34mm wide and 8mm thick. The brooch weighs 16.9 grams and has a good silver patina, but needs cleaning. The brooch is pennanular in form, turning back on itself to form terminals. At this point it is circular in section and has barrel shaped terminals, 6 mm long and 5 mm in diameter, with three raised grooves. The main body of the brooch has a diamond section. Roman silver gilt Polden hill bow brooch, 31mm long (high) 32mm wide and 7mm thick (at the top of the bow) with a weight of 17.03grams. Roman silver crossbow brooch, 70mm long and 46.5mm wide. The brooch is in good condition with a good silver patina and a weight of 52.8 grams. The foot is 35mm long, 9mm wide and 6mm thick with a semi-circular section. It is open all the way down one side to accommodate the pin, which is 36mm long (10mm sits inside the catch). The front of the foot is decorated with two incised parallel lines which run its length on a slight diagonal axis. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Colchester derivative, rear hook brooch, dating to AD 41-68. The wings and bow and catch plate are complete the pin is missing. In plan, the brooch is T-shaped, and the bow is D-shaped in cross section.
