An incomplete cast silver spoon of Roman date. The spoon consists of a linear shaft with a twisted mid-section which forms a decorative pattern. The handle and bowl are joined by an lunular off-set which is square in section and adheres to the underside of the bowl. The bowl is fragmented with approximately a quarter retained and a smaller central section which has been bent inwards towards the handle.
The spoon is 129.3mm in length, the bowl is 28.06mm wide and 5.39mm thick, the handle is 3.90mm thick. The object weighs 7.93g.
