An incomplete silver Roman siliqua of Magnus Maximus, dating to AD 383-388. Reece period 20. Mint of Trier. Reverse: VIRTVS ROMANORVM, Roma enthroned facing, head turned left, holding sceptre and globe. The coin is broken in half, leaving only one half remaining. RIC vol. IX, p.29, no.84b.

Silver siliqua of Theodosius I (AD 379-95), VIRTVS ROMANORVM, Milan, AD 393-4. RIC IX, 32a. The coin does not look obviously clipped, but the light weight does suggest it is lightly clipped. Some in situ damage- bent flan an slight oxidisation.
