CORONER'S REPORT
Description of Object
A Roman silver buckle. The buckle consists of a D-shaped loop with the remains of two hinge loops attached to the hinge bar; height, 19.2 mm; weight, 4.08 g. The base of the tongue has a raised square which is notched at the sides into an hour-glass shape. The plate for attachment to a belt is missing.

CURATOR'S REPORT
Description of find
A distorted and fragmentary silver-gilt decorative mount of probable Roman date. The mount, probably a component of a composite object, appears to have been of flared octagonal form and seems to retain original upper and lower edges. There is an irregular W-shaped cut-out in one edge. The outer face has a symmetrical decor comprising a toothed band below each edge and two bands of running chevron with gilded ribbing between the bands.
Discussion
The damaged nature of the mount prevents a definitive identification or an unequivocal assignme…

A small hoard of five Imperial denarii , the third addendum to Roman coin hoard 2006 T148.
All of the coins are Roman silver coins of a denomination known as the denarius (plural denarii). The earliest coin is a denarius of Galba dated to AD 68; the latest coin is from the reign of Antoninus Pius and dates to AD 140-4. These denarii are of similar date to those in the earlier hoard, which comprised coins issued between the reigns of Galba (emperor AD 68-69) and Marcus Aurelius (emperor AD 161-180). Two of the coins may be ancient forgeries. The irregular coin is a plated variant of…
