Two Roman silver denarii. As the coins are both silver and were found together, they are considered potential treasure. Coin 1: a denarius of the emperor Geta as Caesar (198 - 209 AD), RIC Volume IV, part I, page 316 number 18. A similar reverse is illustrated in RIC VI, plate XIV, number 13. Rome mint 200 - 202 AD. Coin 2: illegible denarius, probably dating to the late second or early third century AD. Diameter c.16mm; Thickness: 1.93mm; Weight 1.11g. Both the coins are chipped.

Roman silver-plated coin, a contemporary copy of a denarius of the emperor Nero (AD 54 - 68). the prototype dates to AD 60-1 (Reece Period 3). Obverse legend: [ ]CAESAR AVG IMP Obverse type: head right. Reverse legend: PONTIF MAX TR P VII COS III F F; EX S C. Reverse type: Roma standing right, foot on helmet (next to dagger and bow), inscribing shield on knee. RIC I, p. 152, cf. no. 28. The prototype for this coin, struck at Rome, is very rare.
