A Roman coin; a silver denarius of Trajan (98 - 117), dating from AD104 - 111. The coin has a diameter of 19mm and is 1mm thick. It weighs 2.86g and was probably minted in Rome. There are three standards on the reverse. The coin is hardly worn and is in very good condition. For reference Roman Imperial Coinage Volume II, number 228. This object was recorded from a photograph and details kindly provided by the finders.

A Roman silver coin: a denarius of Caracalla as Caesar under Septimius Severus (196 - 198). It is struck on an oval flan which is 15.8mm long, 14.9mm wide and 2.2mm thick. It weighs 2.37gm. The coin may be Sear Volume II number 6674, but the child held by Felicitas on the reverse cannot be seen.

A Roman coin; a silver denarius of Commodus (177-192AD). There is a small chip out of the flan at 7 o'clock on the obverse and a small amount of a black deposit on the reverse. It is 15.6mm in diameter and 2mm thick. It weighs 2.06gm. This coin is not listed in Sear, but the design matches that of the gold aureus at reference number 5574.

A Roman silver coin: probably a clipped siliqua of Arcadius (395-408), with reverse showing Roma seated on a cuirass, facing right, with inverted spear and holding Victory on a globe in her right hand, [VIRTVS ROMANORVM]. The legend on both sides is missing, but the portrait of the emperor and most of the reverse design are undamaged. It is 12.7mm in diameter and 1mm thick. It weighs 0.74gm. Compare Sear (1974) number 4127. An unclipped example of this coin can be found on the database at reference NARC-09D797.

A silver finger ring dating from the Roman period. The ring has a diameter of 25.4mm and is 4.3mm thick. The hoop is D shaped in section and the outer edge is decorated with transverse grooves. The ring was found in a secure context which could be dated from the pottery finds to the second century.

A Roman silver coin; a denarius probably of Vespasian (AD 69 - 79) dating from AD 71-73 (Reece period 4). AVGVR TRI POT reverse depicting priestly implements, minted in Rome. Compare for example, FASAM-5B929C which cites RIC II (2nd ed), p. 62, nos. 42-3 though this coin cannot be positively identified to a single RIC number. The coin is 16.1mm diameter, 2.2mm thick and 1.68g. There is a chip missing from the edge and the obverse legend is illegible.
