Reverse: probably IMP XXI COS XVI CENS P P P, Minerva advancing right brandishing a javelin and holding a shield. As RIC II no. 166. The diameter of this coin was not measured when it was recorded, though from the photos provided it is estimated to have been c. 17.5mm.

Incomplete Romano-British silver sheet appliqué with naturalistically modelled lion walking right in high relief repoussé. Most of the top edge, straight and original, slopes upwards to the right, suggesting the complete object may have been trapezoidal or triangular. On reverse some grey material may be solder. 13 x 12mm. Thickness 0.3mm. Weight 0.25g. It is unclear to what this was applied.
