A copper-alloy object of probable Roman date. The object is a single cast piece. There is a thin, broken, sub-oval plate, with ring and dot decoration. The plate tapers at one end and widens to a square sectioned stem. This stem is bent over to lie flush with the decorated side of the plate. The front of the stem is decorated with a series of Xs.

The fragment is flat with one face decorated in cast relief comprising a curved band of cabling and feathering, possibly depicting hair.  The reverse is undecorated and slightly convex with a silvery surface with irregular pitting. One end has parallel sides and tapers in thickness to a break, and in the other direction tapers to the remains of a socket. A circular object that may be the top of a dagger or similar. It has a circular copper alloy frame. Within this is a domed decoration, comprised of white enamel or glass, although this is now broken into irregular shaped pieces. It does retain a sheen. Under this mount are the remains of an iron fitment. The decoration has some similarity with the rondel dagger guard recorded in  NARC-FF7764, which is also decorated with glass inlay. A fragment of a cast copper-alloy unidetified object of probable Roman date (c.43-410). Description: The fragment consisted of a broadly flat irregularly-shaped piece with moulded decoration consisting of two slightly waved ridges and some further curved mouldings. This piece has a lip on one edge, possibly a rim. All other edges are broken and worn. This piece is integrally cast at the back to a broadly cylindrical shaft which has large patches of iron staining.  Measurements: Length: 36.2 mm; Width: 24.5 mm; Thickness: 14.6 mm; Weight: 18.7 g.

The outer face is decorated with an engraved groove immediately behind the break an a row of incised C-shapes along the curved outer edge.  The function and date of the object is uncertain in its present condition.
