This is a tentative identification which the National Finds Adviser cannot verify with certainty: Unattributed 'C' mint. Reverse; TENP FELICIT, Felicitas standing left holding long caduceus in right hand and cornucopia in left hand. C.f RIC vol. V, part 2, no. 418 (var). Despite being somewhat offstruck on a sub-oval flan the coin is preserved in reasonable condition, with a light green patina covering most of its surfaces. Copper alloy radiate of Carausius, AD 286-293 (Reece Period 14). Reverse: PAX AVG, Pax standing left holding branch and vertical and transverse sceptre. C Mint, Mint-mark: - -//CXXI. RIC V, pt 2, p. 490, 305var. Pax type not published with obverse legend IMP CARAVSIVS P AVG, but three specimens in the Frome Hoard. The reverse type with two sceptres is most unusual - it must be a die engraver's error. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.
