RIC V, pt 2, cf. 254), or VIRTVS CARAVSI, the spacing suggesting that the latter is more likely. Neither legend is recorded in RIC with this actual reverse, so this is likely to be a new variety. It is struck off centre on a thin and misshapen flan that is considerably larger than the dies used, being 27.5mm long, 23.5mm wide and 1.4mm thick. It weighs 3.47gm.
