A copper alloy Roman coin: a Q-Radiate issued by the usurper Allectus in Britain (AD293-296) (Reece Period 14), LAETITIA AVG, Galley right, with mast and probably a cabin; possibly a steersman; six rowers; no waves. RIC V, pt 2, p. 569, no. 129. It has a dark brown patina and the edges of the flan are somewhat ragged, but it is otherwise in good condition. It is 19mm in diameter and 2mm thick. It weighs 1.63gm.
