A fragment of an abraded Roman oxidised vessel with lead vessel mend. The fragment is from probably a large bowl with very thick rim. Its posssible to estimate that the diameter of the vessel would have been above 300mm although less that 10% of the circumference now survives. The in tact edge of the base is slightly rounded. Irregular breaks of dark reddish-brown sandy fabric with sparse inclusions of c. 1mm brown sand and abundant <0.5mm white sand and <0.5mm black sand. The fabric is fine and orange in colour at the breaks, with a glossy orange-red slip on both the inside and patches on the outer surface. The lower portion of the interior surface is covered by widespread angular sand, which is very worn. The fragment measures 69.4mm long, 33.9mm maximum width, 14.8mm maximum thickness and weighs 42 grams.

A Roman Nene Valley Colour Coated Ware (NVCCP) pedestal base from a beaker dating to the mid 2nd to 4th century AD. The fabric is hard fired and reduced pale grey with abundant very fine sand inclusions. The exterior has a barbotine slip decoration with a band of dashed lines with foliate tendrils above. Both inner and exterior surfaces have a dark brown slip. The interior surface is otherwise undecorated but has regular striations from the wheel turning process and the base, which is 28.4mm in diameter, has wire marks from removal from a wheel.

A rim sherd from a flanged bowl of Roman greyware, probably Alice Holt ware (cf. Lyne & Jefferies (1979) Class 5B) and dating to the 4th century AD. The vessel is wheel-made with a hard fired sandy fabric which is reduced grey throughout. The rim is everted and beaded, the upper surface has a circumferential groove around the middle and is decorated with two bands of short radial stabbed or possibly rouletted lines. A base sherd likely from a Roman mortarium. The main colour is cream/white, which alters at one of the breaks to beige/pink at the core, and the texture is chalky. The outer surface appears dappled with brown.
