Prominent foot knob with small nodule underfoot, transverse groove at top of knob. Waist moulding immediately above knob, further moulding decorated with transverse groove above waist. Leg has median rib with a zigzag rib running down each side. The button consists of a plain large bead with a smaller one above and below - each incised with a groove. Body fragment of jug/bowl. Ridged inner surface, smooth outer surface. Locally made grey ware with some inclusions. One large inclusion is particularly interesting- it appears to be Wolds (local) flint. Under the microscope, the flint appears to be very worn chip/flake and the entire surface of the pottery is eburnated in the same way, denoting extensive use wear.
