A fragment of a copper alloy pair of tweezers dating to the Roman to early medieval period (c.AD 200-500). The object consists of a sub-rectangular strip of sheet copper alloy. Both ends present worn break, but at one end the object begins to curve tightly inwards which suggests an incomplete loop. The face is decorated with sections of groups of traverse grooves; at the loop the grooves follow the dirct of the loop. The other face is undecorated. The object has a smooth mid-green patina.
