A Roman copper-alloy As of Severus Alexander, PONTIF MAX TR P III COS P P (Pax enthroned left, holding olive branch and sceptre), mint of Rome, struck AD 223. RIC 403. The flan of the coin has split during the striking process.
Third century sestertii, dupondii and asses are scarce finds in Britain.
