A silver plated copper alloy contemporary copy Denarius of Orbiana dating to the period AD 225 - 227 (Reece Period 11). CONCORDIA AVG reverse type depicting Concordia seated left holding patera and double cornucopiae. Mint of Rome. RIC IV, pt.2, p.96, no.319. Comment from P. Lead or gun-metal cast of a Sestertius of Orbiana, wife of Severus Alexander (222-35AD). Type as RIC IV, pt. 2, p. 122, no. 657. It is hard to say whether this is a contemporary or modern copy. Cast coins were produced in the 3rd century, often called "Limesfalsa", singular "Limesfalsum". However, this piece is apparently not made from copper alloy, but from a lead or zinc based alloy. To make a more considered judgement, the Finds Adviser would need to see this coin.
