An incomplete base silver contemporary copy of a Roman denarius of Severus Alexander (AD 222-235), dating to AD 233-235 (Reece Period 11). Copying IOVI VL-TOR[I] reverse type depicting Jupiter [half-draped], seated left, holding Victory and spear. Cf RIC IV, part II, p. 82, no. 144.
Heavy traces of iron corrosion products affect the surfaces of the coin.
