MARTI PACIFE reverse type depicting Mars, walking left, holding olive-branch in right hand and spear and shield in left hand. C mint, probably (S?) (P?) // C. . RIC V, pt 2 -. The style of the coin places it in the S P // C, rather than C or S C // C, series. As such, it is a new variety and will be included in Sam Moorhead;s new edition of RIC for Carausius and Allectus.

Contemporary copies of the early issues of Carausius are common, but copies of his later issues and of Allectus are very rare. The coin is 24.4mm in diameter, 1.4mm thick and weighs 2.52g.
