A base sherd from a Roman Nene Valley colour-coated ware pottery vessel. Dates from the late 2nd century to the end of the Roman period.
The surviving portion of the base is flat and the sides are steeply angled. The fabric is creamy-white in colour and much of the dark brown slip remains. The sherd is heavily abraded. It measures 78.8mm long, 39.3mm wide and 17.9mm thick. The weight is 46.86g.

An incomplete greyware pottery lid of Roman date.
At the centre of the upper surface is a solid disc. The sides form a shallow angle (less than 45 degrees) and are heavily damaged around the perimeter. At the centre of the underside is a possible area of dark greyish-brown slip. The sherd measures 75.7mm in diameter, 25.7mm high and weighs 53.11g.

The rim angles upwards at 45 degrees and has a central lid-seat. The body is steeply angled and has a pronounced curvature. The fabric is light orangey-brown to grey in colour and is heavily shell-tempered. The edges are slightly abraded. The sherd measures 57.6mm long, 40.4mm high and weighs 24.87g.
