A fragment from a vessel, probably a jug or a small amphora of Roman date, circa Ad 43-410.
The fragment consists of a small section of rim and body that contains the remains of the handle. The remains of the handle have a width of 42.3 mm. The fabric is a cream colour with frequent inclusions between 1 to 2 mm in size. The fabric is abraded in the internal surface.
The fragment measures 63.2 mm in height, 61.1 mm in width, 19 mm in thickness and weighs 57.4 grams.

A body sherd that probably belonged to a Roman mortarium. The predominant colour is cream/white while the core appears more pink, and the texture of the sherd is slightly like sandpaper. There are mica inclusions which appear abundantly on the outer surface, where there are also inclusions of various shades of brown and grey that are very abundant but very small. The largest in inclusions on the outer surface are a red inclusion of 2mm in length and a quartz inclusion of 1.9mm in length. A base sherd likely from a Roman mortarium. The main colour is cream/white, which alters at one of the breaks to beige/pink at the core, and the texture is chalky. The outer surface appears dappled with brown. There appears to be moderate inclusions of mica. The most prominent inclusions are dark brown and grey and mostly angular, with some that appear darker and shinier. Fragment of Roman grey ware (1st - 2nd Century AD). Both outer and inner surface are smooth textured and of a dark grey colour. The fabric contains quartz inclusions which are barely discernible. This type of ware was typically used for cooking or storage, although it is difficult to determine the type of vessel that this sherd belonged to.

The fragment consists of a rim sherd, in a greyware fabric, consistent with 2nd to 4th Century AD dating. The rim type is that of a rounded everted type, probably consistent with a storage bowl or jar. Not enough of the rim is present to allow an accurate determination of original rim diameter.

The sherd consists of a bodysherd with an oxidised fabric with a red slip. This fabric type is consistent with an imported fine ware from Gaul, known as Samian ware.
