A piece of Roman period Samian ware. The bright surface has worn in many places but is still present in the relief. The fabric is dark orange with few inclusions. There are various images, the main one visible is of a woman carrying a vessel on her shoulder, standing before a doorway. In another panel above her is a bird. It is curved in both planes and probably represents part of a small bowl. Dimensions: 64mm x 62mm and 8mm thick, it weighs 32.45g
