A Roman (AD 1-410) ceramic cone-shaped earthenware tegula mammata from a cavity wall. It measures 60.80mm in diameter at its base and rises 52.62mm in height. It weighs 125.38g. High firing gives the surface its glazed appearance. The presence of cavity walling suggests a substantial building.

A fragment of Roman (AD 43-410) ceramic building material in the form of a box flue tile, measuring 64.43x48.10x17.60mm and weighing 40.1g. The fabric is sandy and oxidised, and the decoration comprises either combed or rolled parallel lines. The grooves are 2-3mm wide and where one complete group survives, there are five grooves in a group. The groups are set either at 90 degrees or 45 degrees to each other. A rim fragment from a Roman (AD 70-240) decorated Samian ware bowl (likely a Dragendorff 29 or 37), and a base sherd also of Samian ware, stamped DESTER. Both have a similar browny/ orange slip and the fabric is pinky orange in colour. 1) Rim: 66.08x61.05x9.22mm, 28.0g. Beaded rim below which a plain band and then area of moulded ovolo below which part of a double-border circle (outside plain, inside twisted rope effect). 2) Base: 38.79x36.27x5.41mm, 5.7g.
