A rim sherd from a Roman reduced greyware everted rim jar, possibly Alice Holt ware of 3rd to 4th century date. The fabric is hard fired and sandy, the surface is oxidised reddish grey, with a reduced grey core. There is combed or incised triple line zig-zag decoration in a band around the shoulder of the jar. The original rim diameter was around 160mm.

A decorated body sherd from a Roman vessel of a black slipped Samian or imitative ware. The fabric is reduced grey-brown, hard and sandy with few inclusions and a glossy black slip. The exterior has moulded decoration comprising part of a frieze of panels containing curled vinescroll or foliate forms.

A rim sherd from a jar of Roman Black Burnished ware (BB2). The fabric is reduced grey and sandy. The rim is everted and beaded; the original external diameter would have been c. 200mm. The exterior surface is burnished below the rim. Circa mid 2nd to 4th century AD.
