A sherd from the base of a Roman greyware vessel (GX). The base of the vessel is flat and small fragments of the outwards flaring vessel wall survive. The fabric is fine and soft and is tempered with frequent fine quartz sand. Light grey surfaces and core.

Two fragments of Roman greyware pottery, likely from different vessels. Rim sherd probably from a shallow vessel with an everted flat-topped rim which is hollowed sharply underneath. The fragment has a grey outer layer and terracotta inner fabric with a grey core throughout the length of the rim. L - 35.52, H - 23.86, Thickness - 10.73, Weight - 9.365 Body sherd made from a grey clay with small inclusion and a rough finish. L - 34.36, H - 17.67, Thickness - 5.88, Weight - 3.750

A Roman ceramic body sherd from a vessel dating to circa AD 43-250. The vessel is samian ware. It is rectangular sectioned with a deep orange, fine fabric with glossy slip. The outer face is adorned with relief decoration comprised of a transverse beaded groove with two opposed double arches separated by columns. The sherd is probable of mid-southern Gaulish manufacture. The sherd is too small to assess the diameter of the vessel.

An incomplete probable Roman ceramic tile dating to circa AD 43-410.It has a mid-ornage hard sandy fabric with abundant sub-oval white inclusions <2mm. The flat base is of the extant piece is decorated with three longitudinal grooves at one edge which are met by eight oblique grooves. The front face has a raised outer border.  Length: 47.8mm; Width: 51.5mm; Thickness: 26.8mm; Weight: 107.6g.

A sherd from the body of a Roman colour-coated ware vessel. Probably Oxfordshire red/brown-slipped ware. Hard, fine-textured fabric with poorly sorted occasion reddish iron ore and fine quartz sand. It appears to have a slightly laminar fracture, although the edges are heavily abraded. It has an orange core, slightly darker inner surface and traces of dark brown slip on the outer face.
