A Roman ceramic disc-shaped gaming piece made from a re-used vessel base. The fabric is cream coloured with a dark red-brown outer layer, suggesting it is a colour-coated ware. The piece has ground edges, one domed abraded surface and one flat smooth surface. The smooth surface has a series of cracked across its centre, probably an effect of the firing process. Part of the circumference of the disc has worn away. The piece measures 52.6mm (diameter) x 11.0mm (thickness) and weighs 28.66g.
