A Roman ceramic tessera dating to the period c. AD 43 - 410. The tessera is an irregular trapezoid shape and measures 23.07mm in length, 22.37mm in width, is 8.69mm thick and weighs 6.26g. The fabric is dark grey with frequent micaceous inclusions and regular sub-rounded white sand inclusions.

A rim sherd of south-east Dorset black burnished ware probably dating to the period AD c175-250. The coarseware sherd has inclusions of quartz sand and mica. The sherd is wheel thrown, evidenced by the rings around the rim. The rim has a drop lipped flange and is possibly type 45.1b or 3a. The outside is uniformly dark grey with a slightly lighter grey interior. The sherd is 28.04mm in height, 74.48mm in length and 18.83mm in width across the rim. It weighs 36.15g.

A base sherd of Savernake type grey ware probably dating to the period AD c43-150. The coarseware sherd has inclusions of red-brown iron ore. The sherd is wheel thrown, evidenced by the rings on the interior. The base is flat and is possiblly of type 5. The sherd is uniformly buff coloured with the brown iron ore inclusions visible on the inside. The sherd is 14.48mm in height, 49.78mm in length and 6.48mm thick. It weighs 11.22g.

A body sherd of a Roman New Forest Ware ceramic vessel (c. AD 260/70-c. 410). The wheel made fragment is probably from a New Forest Colour-coated beaker. It has a light grey reduced core with a light orange brown inner and outer surface. The colour coating on the outside is dark grey. The artefact is decorated with a horizontal groove with a curved zig zag groove below. The sherd is 18.95mm in length, 20.35mm wide, 4.35mm thick and weighs 1.77 grams.

Five rim sherds, two base sherds and thirteen body sherds of Roman grog-tempered greyware, probably all from the same vessel. Lorraine Mepham (Wessex Archaeology) suggests a middle-late 2nd century date and that the bloaty appearance of the fabric is due to burning. The largest sherd (rim) measures 70.53x56.78x9.23mm, the smallest (rim edge) 21.51x13.37x5.55mm and all the sherds together weigh 133.52g. Seven rim sherds, four base sherds and twenty three body sherds of Roman sand-tempered greyware, all from the same vessel. Lorraine Mepham (Wessex Archaeology) suggests a middle-late 2nd century date and points out that some of the sherds are burnt. This may however just be the result of being placed on the edge of the bonfire.
